    Quilts of Resistance Call for Artists

    Fiber artists and enthusiasts across the US and Globally are called to create quilted works of any kind expressing the theme Save Democracy and Freedom. Submissions are due July 3rd, 2025, midnight Central US time, for an online exhibit of quilted expressions. Submissions should be sent in jpeg or png format, with up to 3 submissions per artist. .zip files can be sent via email to artpharmacy@proton.me. Files should be labeled with artists name. Each photo of work needs to be labeled, title of piece, year completed and artists name. Artists can submit anonymously. The online exhibit will be available throughout the midterm elections in November.

    A physical show is being explored and all artists will be provided opportunity to have work in the physical quilt show. We will continually keep artists updated who are interested, as this evolves.

    Artists can include a sort bio no longer than 5 sentences summarizing your submission and work.

  • Tindall - Underground Railroad Quilt

    Quilts of Resistance Art History Workshop

    Join, artist and academic, Jes Waters for a 90 minute lecture and stitching experience online and in person. as she explore how women have found the fiber arts, particularly quilting, and used it as nonviolent means of expression and resistance throughout various historical revolutions throughout the globe. This workshop includes a lecture and hands on stitching experience for all participants.
